Another great day in small town Michigan!

Just when I thought the best thing that was going to happen yesterday was purchasing the new set of "Math torture for homeschooled teenagers" (aka: the next book in the math series) I got an email. There is a family in Midland that Dana, a IRL friend from Detroit hooked me up with. We have been trying to get the boys together for a while but it never worked out. Yesterday it did and we couldn't be happier!

The homeschooled son is 13 and likes all of the same things my boys like. There are also two other boys in the family. One is grown, married and lives in another state, and the other is a senior at a local public school. The mom is great and has a lot of the same thoughts on homeschooling that I do.

We all hit it off so well that they invited us over for dinner tonight. As if that wasn't enough to make the boys happy, they found out that they have a 52" TV and every game system known to man - as well as a wall of computers - in their basement. A friend with kick ass electronics... what could be better?
